Electronic signature vs digital signature: what's the difference?

Electronic signature is a broad term: it can be drawn, typed, or part of an advanced workflow.

A digital signature (cryptographic) uses a certificate and provides stronger integrity/authenticity guarantees.

For internal/simple workflows, e-sign is often enough. For stronger legal requirements, qualified digital signatures are preferred.
